LCC Area

The Lesmahagow community council boundary takes in a much larger area than just Lesmahagow itself.  It also covers nearby Brocketsbrae and Hawksland, as well as Devonburn and Dillarburn to the east, extending as far as Kirkfieldbank Road.  To the West of Lesmahagow the boundary extends along the Nethan to the south and Birkwood Burn then the road alongside Logan water to the north, as far as Nutberry Hill and Dunside Rig and Reservoir.  Despite its proximity, Auchlochan Garden Village falls into the Coalburn CC area, and to the north, both Boghead and Auchenheath sit in the Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill area.
