Lesmahagow Community Council

Lesmahagow Guides Fundraiser

Added on 17 January 2012

Girlguiding Lesmahagow are collecting clothing and other textiles to raise funds for the redevelopment of our Guide Hall. Our aim is to work closely with as many people as possible to encourage recycling for clothes, shoes, bags, belts, hats, and scarves and to ensure all recyclable items are re-used and enjoyed by people in other countries less fortunate than our own or made into cleaning rags.

Help the environment now by taking a look at your clothes, we all have clothes that no longer fit or we feel they are out of fashion. See what you have not worn for some time and probably never will. It is said that there could be over a billion tons of unused clothing stuck in wardrobes up and down the UK which could be recycled.
